Home furnishing retailer Habitat recently released an amazing limited edition book of 4000 pieces, entitled 50by70. The large book features 20 removable art prints. There is a consistant style of artwork running through this whole promotion. The contemporary design will attract a younger audience to but this.

I found this limited edition book on the Behance Network by a new designer called Rod Hunt. The book cover and title is fun and quirky.From this design he created i limited edition poster and wallet. I think the inside of the walled works really well with a repeated pattern.




What i have learnt about the limited edition sets:
1. Limited edition means to do something special to make them different from other books. The stocks and process you use will help get this feel.
2. Producing things which can only be brought with the book makes books a bit more than a book and therefore becomes a collectible item.
