Anthony Burrill is my all time favourite designer. I love how his work is so simple yet sends out a great message. With quiet bold colours and type his posters have a very recognisable style and are very effective. These posters are produced using a traditional wood block letterpress process. I am going to use his style as inspiration for my dont panic posters.
The idea of using simple illustrations to work with the type is a nice and simple idea, yet effective. His quirky design makes these fun to look at. And the idea of taking things which people say or hear everyday into big posters is something you wouldn't expect to see on such a large scale.
